Title: Mods downloading but cant open them...

When I download the mods they download as zipped files but they will only let me open them with explorer for some reason... probably a stupid question but any help would be awesome!

Download Winrar here (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm). You can use this to extract the files to your desktop or other safe location, then simply drag them into your Arma 3 directory.
