Why do you want to join the 506th Infantry Regiment Realism Unit?: I'm interested in realistic unit tactics and gameplay. After looking the 506th IR has most of the things I was looking for in a milsim unit.


If you have elected either rotary wing pilot, fighter pilot, combat engineer or medic, if all billets are full by the time you finish the training pipeline, you may have to go infantry for the time being. Do you understand this?: Yes.

I will be withdrawing my application at this time.

You guys seem really dedicated and I was really looking forward to being a part of the unit but I can't get past the rule against multi-clanning. Arma 3's own launcher facilitates the ability to be apart of multiple units, the mod section easily allows you to select and save multiple mod loadouts, and if it was required rolling between Arma 3 versions to enable stable platform for mods is possible (albeit somewhat time consuming).

I would understand if it was that you can't be apart of another hardcore/realism unit that also has mandatory events, as they could cause conflicts with scheduling, but with there only being 4 or so mandatory training/ops and the inability to participate in Ops (outside of funOps) before RCT training means that due to my work schedule I will be waiting a 11 days in total before I can even start training. I would rather be able to play Ops with a less structured unit than not at all.

My situation is really just a case of bad luck as CPT Soto is leading the only class that I would be able to attend and unfortunately I applied during the time he was away. However, I would still recommend sitting down and evaluating objectively if that rule is or is not fundamental to what makes this unit what it is.
