RE: MOSN assault on Luzern, capture of Supreme Leader Jong-Soo and PRNA General Hyonjun

The following intelligence report is classified and should only be distributed to authorized personnel.

Overview of the assault on Luzern
Reports indicate a large offensive against the city of Luzern [GRID REF 145142], the capital of Napf, occurred on the tenth (in-country time) around the same time as the assault on the Yongkrum prison camp. The MOSN assault on Luzern was similar to their attack of Lenzburg [GRID REF 087160] with guerilla and special forces soldiers within the city before the attack began. They used IEDs of various types in order to throw the PRNA into disarray, then as the PRNA attempted to reinforce their own positions they used ambushes to destroy the convoys. A few minutes after the first explosions the PRNA moved in quickly from the West and South West.

The attack started off with a mortar barrage against the PRNA checkpoints along the roads. These were hardened positions with some armor, and static AT emplacements. After they were mortared, another barrage of smokes was fired and the MOSN spearhead consisting of T-80s and T-72s, both with ERA, rushed the checkpoints and easily broke through, followed by BMPs loaded with troops. Older helicopters were also seen - likely Mi-24 Hinds - although only a few. The attack was so swift and sudden that it caught the PRNA somewhat off-guard, being preoccupied with our attack on the Prison Camp [GRID REF 110118] and recovering from the blows dealt to it earlier in the week from the 506th. The PRNA headquarters near the center of the city was quickly encircled and cut off, and it's believed that Supreme Leader Jong-Soo and PRNA General Hyonjun were both captured by the MOSN forces.

It appears that the remaining PRNA forces quickly pulled out of the city to prevent further losses following the breach of their frontlines and quick encirclement of their HQ building. The attack appears to have killed at least a company worth of PRNA infantry and destroyed approximately 20 pieces of armor. The PRNA has regrouped in the surrounding towns of Meggen [GRID REF 163153], Horw [GRID REF 171138], Emmen [GRID REF 155133], and Wolhusen [GRID REF 142127] and are currently fortifying their positions. They're understrength and demoralized, and will likely not last long against a further attack from MOSN.

Reports were also indicative that a number of AAA vehicles (apparently ZSUs) and MANPADs also have been stationed in the city, preventing the PRNA's air assets from the International Airport [GRID REF 145168] from counterattacking. Fortunately this also has the side effect of giving them a longer and more dangerous flight path to any 506th asset. MOSN forces have been seen massing in the Eastern section of the city, presumably for a further attack on Emmen. Such an attack would split the PRNA forces in half, and allow an easy clean up for MOSN. It would also give them control of the strategically located port in that town.

MOSN forces assault Luzern with ERA equipped main battle tanks and air support

MOSN building troop strength at Muttenz
Elsewhere in the port city of Muttenz along MOSN's southern line, a large force has begun to gather. Long range recon indicated that at least 2 companies of infantry have landed in the past 48 hours, along with a full mechanized platoon. Their direction of attack is currently unclear, and seem to simply be grouping for the time being. Developments will be relayed as soon as we learn more.

ANALYST COMMENT:
Firstly, the capture of Supreme Leader Jong-Soo and PRNA General Hyonjun, along with several other ranking members of their military, is likely to cause significant disarray in the PRNA forces.

Secondly, MOSN forces appear to have a significant number of upgraded T-80s - in fact, we doubted they had anything that new at all as we hadn't seen it prior. So far we had only seen T-55s and T-72s in action. The fact they have a number of T-80s (and upgraded BV models) is an extremely important development, and likely means stiff resistance in the future. The source of this armor and the Mi-24 Hinds mentioned earlier is still unknown at this time.

Sounds like these back-stabbing commies have become a problem.

Amazing work on this intel report, things really are developing into an interesting direction.

If anybody missed SGT Garcia's compilation of footage smuggled out of that city after the attack, here it is:
