Arma minimizing
« on: January 21, 2019, 09:00:39 PM »
I did a quick search and didn't see anything on a recent page and this might be a really simple fix and I'm an idiot. It's not game breaking just really really annoying.

Since about the beginning of operation Lionheart I've had problems with ARMA just minimizing out of the blue on random keystrokes. Sometimes it is a right click sometimes it is aswd to move around, sometimes it is CTRL or any other key. I thought it was possibly tied to the TFAR update when we had those massive error lines but it has persisted through a couple of modpack updates now. Also, I now get it when I run the un-modded game on King of the hill servers which I wasn't playing before so I don't think it is a mod issue. I've gotten really good at ALT+Tab to get it back up quickly but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the fix might be or any other suggestions. Already reinstalled a couple of times with no luck and reinstalled the modpacks.

I do run dual monitors and it seems to be something where it goes over to my other monitor but I don't know if it is having something open over there or just my cursor going over when it minimizes. I've tried google as well but nothing there seems to work.

Thanks for any help or pointing me in the right direction.

Make sure you are running fully "Fullscreen" and not just "Fullscreen Window". Also, having two monitors could, in part, cause this (I have two).
I might go as far as to suggest disabling the second monitor during unit stuff, if you can't solve it otherwise.

This is pretty hard to test, but I used to have an issue where a key on my old keyboard was occasionally getting stuck, replaced the keyboard and my random control issues suddenly went away.
