Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
Extensive OPFOR MANPADS usage has been noticed across Korsac, specifically the 9K38 Igla system. Assume all points of interest to be defended by well-supplied and extremely mobile MANPADS teams.
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
The complexity and intensity of defenses and counter-attacks mounted by the PSRF have exceeded expectations for what was presumed to be a Russia-backed militia force, suggesting much deeper ties to Moscow than previously thought. Intercepted communications now hint at the possibility of veteran Russian troops and officers directly training or even taking over command of PSRF forces remotely, and are looking to provide more support in-theatre themselves in the near future.
The goal of the operation is still to provide security over and reduce Russian influence within the breakaway regions of Korsac and Zimnitrita. However, the Russian influence has shown itself to be much more deeply integrated within both the PSRF and the pro-Russia Amic Party than anticipated. Therefore, a slight adjustment must be made: providing security is now the primary goal, while reducing Russian influence is now secondary, if at all possible.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
The PSRF have shown considerable proficiency at implementing Russian-Soviet artillery doctrine, saturating large areas of the battlefield with continuous IDF, even danger close to civilian areas. While being very effective at the beginning stages of a head-on conflict, the doctrine requires deep ammunition reserves and continuous supply chains to maintain the current rate of fire. S-2 is compiling intelligence found on OPFOR devices to ascertain both points in the coming days.
Intelligence reports have also shown the PSRF to be more than willing to use civilian hostages to protect key areas such as mortar pits and MLRS batteries, therefore all troopers must be extra vigilant with their usage of explosive munitions when approaching any points of interest.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
As the power plant is an obvious point of interest, S-2 suggests all BLUFOR elements to exercise heightened caution when utilising explosive munitions near or within the compound. It should go without saying that, aside from possible civilian presence, the plant itself is vital to the region's stability, and should ideally remain operational.
