Streaming Help
« on: August 12, 2020, 04:07:46 PM »
Hey All,

I am totally new to streaming but am looking to start doing some or at the very least recording - I have a gaming PC and Laptop configuration and currently have installed on both OBS with the NDI plug-in (no capture card) and verified that my laptop is capturing from my gaming PC.

Looking for some advice suggestions on settings;

a) good video (streaming/recording quality)
b) good audio (streaming/recording quality/volume)
c) any other suggestions on settings I should consider?

Thanks in advance,

A.) Recording you can go balls to the wall with resolution and bitrate. However, if you plan on streaming keep in mind that your viewer's internet have to be able to handle what you're outputing. I recommend 1080p60 @3k bitrate to keep your stream accessible.
B.) Voice volume @100%, game @75% and go from there. Put a noise gate filter on your microphone audio, default settings is a good starting point.
C.) Customize your alert volumes. Some streams have them ear rapingly loud.
