Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
With the systematic destruction of OPFOR AA positions around the North-West and the South extremes of Pulau Gurun, the only known OPFOR SAM AA positions remaining are at AIRBASE SARSFIELD, and COP TILLMAN. During Phase 06, TFC also reported a Roland SAM retreating from their AO back towards the Airbase, and it may have chosen to reinforce any of the OPFOR strongpoints along the way.
The KMN has no doubt noticed our shift in priorities to target their AA positions, and may have moved the existing units, or deployed their reserve units as a result, especially along the shores near their remaining strongpoints.
As a reminder, low-altitude AA defenses such as auto-cannons and MANPADS remain a concern, the latter of which is carried by OPFOR infantry in significant numbers. Lastly, COP LUDLOW is known to have an active radar system, which Stalker 1 will be tasked to conduct reconnaissance on with the assistance of Havoc 3 later tonight.
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Through the process of elimination, 1 BCT HQ "Odin" is confident that the location of the CHAOS Company troopers will soon be found, possibly within days. All BLUFOR elements are now advised to exercise heightened caution when assaulting any OPFOR compound that may look like a possible POW holding facility. From the intel reports that S-2 has received thus far, we can confirm that they are still alive, the only question that remains is where.
As their footprint on Pulau Gurun shrinks, the KMN may begin deploying more desperate tactics, such as indiscriminate minefields around civilian centers, or even using civilians as body shields, which S-2 has been able to confirm via intel reports.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
The OPFOR armor depot to the East has been designated as COP TILLMAN, and will be the responsibility of TFD at 0230 tomorrow. This means that mechanized QRFs coming from the East and North-East of tonight's AO is still very much a possibility, especially via the MSR connecintg COP TILLMAN and OP SWANSON.
The minefields around COP LANSDALE remains a concern for Odin, and Blacksmith has been tasked to sweep the area earlier today around noon after TFC's successful mission. However, they have not been able to clear up to OP SWANSON for obvious reasons, and S-2 advises all leadership to be cautious of approaching OPFOR strongpoints with mine detectors ready.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
The AA position inside OP SWANSON was confirmed destroyed by cruise missile from the USS Churchill during Phase 05, however the time elapsed since then may have given OPFOR enough time to repair or replace the asset, and Odin is reluctant to order further fire missions given the possibility of POWs being moved closer to critial OPFOR infrastructure now that they are more aware of our long-range capabilities.
