[ACCEPTED] Young Application
« on: July 10, 2015, 01:45:14 AM »
First Name: Marcel
Last Name: Young
Age: 18
Desired Duty Assignment: 153A Rotary Wing Pilot

ArmA III Player ID: 76561198095390980

How long have you been playing ArmA III?: About 3 years now. Ever since ArmA 2 OA.
Are you currently a member of an ArmA III gaming clan or unit?: No, recently retired from my WO1 rank at the 21st U.S. Army Ranger Regiment. Rank that I acquired through some hard work (with some breaks LOA's...) and learning from great people over there.
Why do you want to join the 506th Infantry Regiment Realism Unit?: I've been following Drumheller ever since he was a 2LT in the 15th MEU, for about 4 years now. Even before I had a PC good enough to be part of any realism unit. When I finally got it, I found the 21st. Great people and a really nice community. But after a year and a half, life took it's turns. To say the least, family problems all around plus my ground aviation school and IT career is taking a toll on the time I can dedicate to gaming. For these main reasons, I figured I woulden't be giving my best in the 21st anymore and I really can't figure a way of attending to their events with everything I mentioned earlier. So basically, my main reason to join is because I think I have a lot of knowledge and abilities that could help in the development and growth of this unit and also because I think I could learn a lot more from what I know now, specially with people like Benevento and Drumheller. And on a side note, to meet more people and just have a nice time with the plus that ou guys actually carry exercises at a good time on my zone.

If you have elected either rotary wing pilot, fighter pilot, combat engineer or medic, if all billets are full by the time you finish the training pipeline, you may have to go infantry for the time being. Do you understand this?: Absolutely, after all this time being in skies it would be nice to deliver some freedom with G.I's.

Please check your user profile and ensure that the email address you registered with is correct. Have you done this?: Yes.

Do you understand the definition of realism gaming according to the 506th realism unit, and is this the type of realism experience you desire and are willing to abide by?: Understood.

Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit and the criteria for being active and taking a billet in this unit and that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserve platoon?: Indeed I have.

You understand the fact that this unit is a EST (GMT -5) time zone based unit, and the attendance requirements of operations are dependent on your choice of Sundays at 2000 EST (0100 GMT) or Saturdays at 2000 EST (0100 GMT)?: Yes

Just to clarify, I read another application where the user was rejected for being 18 years old but the minimal age says 18. If this is by any chance helps, I'll be 19 on January.
