If this post is in the wrong place, do please so move it.

This is the USAF schmuck that watches Drum's livestreams on da Tube. I thought I'd consider joining in, with the following caveat.

1. I'm a disabled Vet playing on a stout PC but on Satellite Internet. (500 to 600 ping at best, nevermind the 1/2 second ping from ground to space, and all dat shtuff. Would I be able to play with you fine fellows despite this?)

This is 100% the place to ask.

Best bet would be to see what your ping looks like connecting to East Coast Reforger and/or Arma 3 servers. Playing on 500-600 ms ping is roughly a 5-6 second delay. This would make both yours and other gameplay not only as fun, but less immersive.

Yes, if your connection is too bad the servers will kick you off.
