The Second Battle of Berezhino Update

A CDF armor piece burns as the siege of Berezhino continues into its second nightYesterday evening the city of Berezhino in Northeast Chernarus came under siege by an unidentified group. Chernarus Defense Forces quickly responded to the situation with the full might of their military. Currently Chernarus is still a black hole in terms of communications, so not much is known, particularly the state of the siege. Chernarus President Pavel Noskov did release the following statement.

The Chernarus government is currently responding to the escalating situation in Northeast Chernarus. The Chernarussian people are unfortunately accustomed to hardship, but like always we will overcome. While the situation on the ground is still fluid we can confirm that the group attacking innocent civilians is The Red Guard.
The United States, which does have combat troops on high alert in Germany and Italy, declined to comment on the situation.
