Getting the Havoc 2-4 training server ready for a training tonight and I noticed that the difficulty settings that are defined server-side via the server.arma3profile file no longer work. As far as I can tell so far, the only way to set the difficulty settings is via "Game Options" when you select a mission when logged into the server. Lots of additional settings have now been made available, so the "official settings" for the 506th will probably need to be revisited.

Edit 2: During training we experience significant performance issues where the framerate would drop to 5 FPS. Everyone experienced this independently of one another and at different times, and server's CPU and RAM utilization was low. Textures also became low-resolution. Additionally at no point did AI return fire under any circumstances.

Same on my server also. It locks 1st person in veteran mode now.

Yup, I'm getting the same thing. I specifically left 3rd-person on and it still forced 1st-person. And now I can't change the difficulty settings; the menu is now faded out and not clickable.

Suggest reading through the BIS topic linked in here.

Sounds like server owners will have to add in a difficulty class to the server profile file.

Classic Bohemia move to just make a new class and screw everything up  ::)

Thanks for the link, I'll have to try that.

In addition to the difficulty settings we've also noticed serious game performance issues where everyone's frames would drop to 5 FPS entirely independently of one another and at different times, AI would behave weird and certain things like trying to garrison them wouldn't work, and under any circumstances AI would not shoot back.

I was zeusing for the training and found some weird bugs with the A.I.  Trying to put them into formations, movement speed and setting their aggression level (stealth, calm, combat), would not work as they reset themselves and it would take multiple attempts to get them to just walk in a file.  Zeus modules would not recognize units.  When placing modules that require unit's as the target it would not recognize a placed unit as a unit.

That is a normal thing, when  2 or more people have acessed zues it takes several actions to make modules and speed stances etc to work sometimes. A lot of this could be directly related to the difficulty settings, as well as the profile.

Only one person had access to Zeus during training tonight, and that was SGT McAllister.

No one else was logged in or in a zues slot?

Nope. SGT McAllister was in the Zeus slot and for some reason it wasn't working, so he signed in as server admin.

I'd also like to add that I randomly got an error message that popped up but since I was zeusing I closed it as quick as I could to continue doing my duty.  It may have been related to something I put down but if I recall correctly it occurred while switching from zeus back to my person.  I also don't remember putting down anything I hadn't done before as It was just some simple vanilla bunkers and Russian units.

If anyone else experienced something similar it may help.
