Mission

The Combat Medical Section is composed of 32 total billets tasked with providing medical aid to all members of the 101st Airborne, 506th Infantry Regiment. The primary role of a 68W Health Care Specialist is to provide medical treatment to any wounded soldiers by providing vital medical treatment including initial emergency treatment in a combat environment, evacuation, and supervision of other soldiers to receive basic medical training. They also provide day to day medical care for soldiers in their respective section. Our goal is to make sure all members make it back home after every engagement. The medics within our unit are organized into what is called the Combat Medical Section. All medics are integrated into the Combat Element.
