Hello 506th.
I'm SSgt Olivella from the 15th MEU (SOC). I know I haven't been in touch with my 15th meu friends that decided to come here to the 506th since the creation of this unit. I'm humbling and officialy asking for help. As some of you may know already, I'm starting a crowdfund for my girlfriend, who was the Friedrich's Ataxia since 2007.

Her speech is getting harder, she needs a walker not to fall and her knees are giving up already, she can't write, cook, that's not a big deal. She has a big brother that also has the disease and he can't do anything by himself, his sight is fucked up, can barely talk and his hearing is 40% lost, getting worse. I just don't want the same fate to fall on her.
We managed to get her evaluated and approved by Beijing Puhua International Hospital, which provides treatment for that ataxia. Is a stem cell treatment, and we are aware that while there is no cure for it, this can buy her some quality years, even slow the disease down or stop its progress if miracles do happen. We manage to get a 10% discount, all is approved, we are just gathering the funds, which are 39.000 US dollars.
I now come to youy. Believe me, this isn't easy, asking for help is pretty hard, but pride aside, I really got to do something and there's no way I can come up with that money anytime soon, and my girlfriend can wait fucking 15 years while I save, as every day it passes, the disease keeps attacking her and progressing.
