Having real problems with memory leaks.
« on: December 19, 2016, 04:52:07 AM »
Hi!
Yesterday I was fooling around on the patrol-server. Good fps, good everything.
When my fps suddenly dropped down to about 3-5. And it stayed that way.
I spoke to the others on TS about it, and they said it was a memory leak.

Is there a way to fix this? I do not see myself playing much with 3 fps :/

Note: I can't be a specs related issue. Good specs for Arma.
I have also tried running with all different types of 'mallocs'.

They messed something up with update 1.66, it happens to the best of us. I've found that I only get this bug while playing liberation.

Run task manager on a second screen, sort process tab by name so arma3.exe will be at/near the top and have it selected. When its memory is close to 3,050,000 bytes the FPS drop will occur, you can't do anything to prevent/fix the issue afaik (large page file + a better memalloc can help bypass sometimes, but isn't guaranteed) until Bohemia fully ports to x64.

So you're saying that the only thing to do is wait? There's no real fix?

Best thing you can do is mess around with your video options. Lower the view distance, texture quality, anti-aliasing, etc.
