Was excited, especially given the current
ethereum-induced video card shortage, to finally bring home home a shiny
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G only to learn that it will not fit into my beautiful
Carbide Series Air 240 case.
Card length (277mm) easily fits into the max GPU length (290mm) supported by the case. I forgot to consider card
height (140mm) which is two centimeters too big.
Back to my outdated
Sapphire Radeon HD 6790 1GB for now while I shop for a new case.
Was (still am) really happy with the Air 240. Compact, great cable management, dust filters everywhere. Really sucks that it won't fit.
The
Air 540 and
Air 740 are looking like good candidates; but the lack of PSU dust filter in both of these is just asinine!
Any other ideas folks?
