Joining Up
« on: April 21, 2015, 05:34:10 PM »
So, as of yet, none of you know me. I am Murdock.C (I choose not to say my name for privacy reasons.) I am looking to join the unit, however I need to get a better PC before I can even think about attempting to join in on the Ops (that was out of RP, I'm not sure if talking about my computer and such is allowed on the forums, you know, realism unit) but I know that applications flood in when it opens up, and when you have plenty it can be closed for months. I would like to know if I could join the unit now, even though I would be on somewhat of a leave until I was better situated to actually play. I would however be active on the forums as much as possible. If this is not okay and I can only join when I am fully able, I understand. Either way I hope to join, and good luck in all future endeavors. Shoot straight. (I apologize if this does not belong here, but I didn't know where else to put it, and in the applications room just didn't feel right.) Thanks!

This would be more appropriate for the General Discussion forum, but I'll answer here.  If you have more questions we can take it offline via PM.

You should have a computer able to run Arma 3 before joining the unit.  You'll need to complete Recruit Training and OSUT, and that takes getting into the game.  We cannot reserve a spot for you while you get a new computer, which is what I think you are really asking about.  Applications will always be on a first come, first served basis.  Recruiting will stay open for the foreseeable future, but it will be closed when we reach our maximum number.

Understood, thanks. (I had it in the General Discussion Board for a few minutes until I saw Drumheller's post about it not being for Inner Unit related things, but now I know.)
