Is anyone here from Oceania? I am confused about time differences.

I had just signed up for a recruit training. The training class I would be taking is on Friday 18:00 EST (21June19). It's Friday today and I had researched what time would it be in Australia and I showed up in teamspeak to see whats goin on. But I diddnt see anyone from my class.

As one of the Australians in the unit its normally early morning for ops and trainings for us.
You can use something like https://savvytime.com/converter/est-to-aest to help you with the time differences, input the US time and see the Australian time

So just to give you an example your RCT class is at 1800EST on 21JUN19 which would be 0800 on 22JUN19 AEST.

I'm the instructor for that class, and also Australian.

Friday 1800 EST is Saturday 0800 AEST - the unit is 15 hours behind the east coast timezones. I always forget the offsets for SA/WA/NT.
