Just a couple of questions before I submit my application.
« on: March 04, 2015, 11:52:09 PM »
Evening everyone,

I am looking forward to submitting my application of recruitment to join your community, but have a couple of questions first.

I am unsure of all the differences between the selected MOS (yes I had to look that up) in the recruitment application form.
Would anyone mind taking the time to explain lightly the differences between them.

What are the required duties of each MOS, on and off of the battlefield?
What are the different weapons utilized most by each MOS?
What helicopters are used by the rotary wing pilots?
What planes are used by the fighter pilots?
Are you able to change your selected MOS?

I just don't want to make a commitment without knowing what I would be getting into.

Thank You,
AJ

Required duties are to attend trainings. Depending on the MOS you select it can be at most, 2 operations a month (Sunday Nights), Platoon Training 1x a month, Squad/Section training 2x times a month, Fire-team training (weekly).

If at any time you are able to not make a training, you can message your chain of command and indicate that you are unable to attend or put in a leave of absence for extended periods of time with no consequence.

There is also reserves which allows individuals to "fill-in" for any training or operation.

What are the different weapons utilized most by each MOS?

The main difference is the weapons they employ.
11B Infantryman (M4,M249,M320,AT4)
11B Machinegunner (M240)
11B Anti Armor Specialist (Javelin Missile System)
11B Bradley Crewman and Infantry (Bradley Fighting Vehicle)

What helicopters are used by the rotary wing pilots?

AH-9 Littlebird (Arma Default) - used for close air support
UH-60 Blackhawk - used primarily for transport
CH-47 - used for transport and heavy lift
AH-64 Apache - They blow stuff up, like a lot of stuff *EDIT*

What planes are used by the fighter pilots?

A-10 Warthog

Are you able to change your selected MOS?

At any time, you may request a transfer to another MOS. It will almost always be granted unless there are no open spots in that desired MOS.

Feel free to find me on Teamspeak if you have any other questions

You forgot the Apache, Richardson.

I still dont think they actually exist because I never see them. The only thing I see on the ground are hellfires, which I imagine are presents from Santa bringing high explosive freedom.

Every day is Christmas when there's an Apache overhead
