Keep in mind there were two enemy forces battling each other throughout the mission, we just inserted ourselves into the middle of it and made sure we came out on top.  8)

So the total amount of OPFOR KIAs would be...

2 Frogfoot pilots + 2 Hind pilots + 1 Albatros pilot + 21 MBT crewmen + 15 BMP crewmen + 6 BTR crewmen + 3 Shilka crewmen ~700 Garrisoned Infantry (1 battalion) + ~350 Special Forces/Recon Infantry (2 companies) + ~1400 Motorized Infantry (2 battalions) + 6 Mortar gunners = around 2506 OPFOR KIAs.

Unless ArmA 3 counts their unit sizes differently or my knowledge is incorrect, that is just a ridiculous number.

Not to mention that to a certain extent, you have to consider firefights in ARMA don't necessarily go the way they do in real life, and that its also Zeus's job to ensure that everybody is participating. That means making sure every Private on the ground sees something of the engagement, every squad leader has to maneuver and coordinate, that the platoon leader has to always be watching the whole of the field to coordinate his squads, that Havoc 4 doesn't just bring along the tubes for nothing, and that Warlord and Thunder aren't just uselessly fluttering about overhead with nothing to do for most of the operation.

Friend-of-the-Unit Kyle Lupien tallied this up for us and posted it in the comments of this TFA 07-17 footage, it's really illuminating:
I deliberately don't stream my Ares controlling so I don't give away my OPFOR tactics at use, however I will comment on this and let you in on a bit of insight:
There was not quite that much OPFOR and GREENFOR down.  I can definitely say the infantry numbers there are heavily inflated.  Each task force is different and depending on attendance can handle varying amounts of pressure.  I've learned pretty clearly where TFA bends and breaks and always try to keep missions on the razor's edge.  No doubt there was a lot of stuff flying around due to the three-way fight but with MOSN and PRNA killing each other there needed to be more down than normal.  We're talking multiple platoons of different compositions on each side but not multiple battalions.

Biggest blow to the enemy goes to First Lieutenant Barba of the 74th with his 2000 pound JDAM strike on the main compound, killing a majority of the garrisoned infantry aswell as a few officers and their SF entourage and leveling the entire building on top of their heads.  This strike also destroyed the ICBMs and their launchers Task Force Alpha was set out to secure.

I'd like to thank my TACP and aircraft for always being there for me!

When 3-4 is allowed to load into the training server early for squad training, we must find ways to occupy ourselves.
