Arma Crashing (unknown reason)
« on: April 04, 2016, 01:22:18 PM »
Okay, last night I was trying to connect to the operation for about 30 - 40 minutes. And every time I tried my Arma crashed half way through load in.

the order of events went like this
(Arma launch>Multiplayer>conected to server> Selected role> Mission begins to load and at the half way mark, it gives me the "Arma has stopped working" Progress bar)

Things i have tried to solve it:

Verifying Steam Cache
Deleting all the Dll's in the Dll Folder
Re-installing the mods
Deleting the mission from the multiplayer cache and trying to re-download it from the server.

I dont want to reinstall arma entirely but as a last resort I will. Also the previous update worked fine for me. i dont know whats going wrong

Sytem information:
Windows 10
Intel i7 Processor
Corsair Vengence 4GB RAM (x2) = 8GB RAM
AMD 7870 HD Edition (x2)
1TB HDD

(P.S I was able to connect to the Havoc 2 training server for a training. so maybe its something thats on the official servers thats not on the unofficial ones?)

If you know how to find the RPT file - find it and upload it / put the text somewhere so I can have a look through it. Generally appears in "%LOCALAPPDATA%/ArmA 3" (you can type that into the address bar of Windows Explorer)

Could you upload C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Arma 3\arma3_2016-04-04_01-24-51.mdmp as well?

No problem. Out of curiosity, what map was the Havoc 2 server on when you tested? Try loading a training template on Isla Duala if you can.

it was on Altis when we loaded the training server. Give me a few mins and I'll get my arma launched

Try the following:

Delete:
- ijl15.dll
- arma3.exe

from your ArmA 3 directory and run verify game again.

Go into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Arma 3\mpmissionscache and locate _506th_ftx_07-16_tfb.pbo - send it to me, I'll upload it to my ArmA 3 server and you can test.
