Hi all.
My name is Jonathan Wade and I am a 14-year veteran of the Canadian Army. I served as a light infantryman and deployed to Afghanistan along the ANA in Kandahar (Howz-E-Madad, Zhari for the ones who might know this place). I also deployed to Haiti after the big 2010 earthquake.
I am writing a quick intro here (admin, if it is not permitted, please delete). I was WIA in Afghanistan and was medically discharged two years ago. I am now a disabled retired vet and I run a blog on Russian & Canadian military and foreign affairs (
http://thesentinel.ca).
I also do Milsim Airsoft. I lead a team called Task Force Spartan (
http://facebook.com/tfspartan) and I am a Milsim West (
www.milsimwest.com) cadre. I have been doing Milsim for 10 years now.
I am attending tomorrow's recruit training and I am really looking forward to it. I've been playing ARMA III since the launch, on and off, but mostly by myself. I found the 506th on Youtube and I felt like it would be a great place to fully experience the game. I've done hundreds of hours of VBS2 through the military but it was always prior to deployment so no "real" fun.
I am pretty excited to join 506th and get some much-needed ARMA III action.
With regards,
RCT Wade.
