American forces in Al Rayak have successfully pushed back one of the brigade of the Erzikistan Republic People’s Army (ERPA), mainly defectors from the Iranian 83rd Infantry Division. After several firefights in close-quarter combat, American soldiers delivered a solid blow to the newly established ERPA.
American troops providing security after destroying an enemy checkpoint. As a matter of fact, the ERPA is currently on the run towards the western part of Al Rayak. According to the American intelligence assets in the country, three task forces have been constantly hitting ERPA positions with ground troops, A-10s and helicopter gunships.
One soldier, under anonymity due to operational security (OPSEC) but wearing a different helmet, described a daring manoeuver by an A-10. “Our A-10 quickly dove and prevented a mass casualty (MASCAS) by proving danger close air support during the assault on the brigade headquarters.”
One ERPA officer was captured by friendly forces and extracted to COP Otter by helicopter. “He was whining and saying how we shouldn’t be in Al Rayak — that it wasn’t our fight,” said Warrant Officer 1 J. Wade who flew him back to COP Otter.

According to some information we got from the troops back at COP Stallion, “very light casualties were sustained for a huge gain in terrain and loss of morale to the enemy.”
Despite having several heavy main battle tanks in the area of operations (AO), American troops were able to direct the A-10 and engaged with anti-armour weapons and destroy them with ease.
After being in the AO for a few months now, it is our understanding that American forces now have the upper hand and are now steamrolling through ERPA defences.
Could the ERPA fall before Christmas and see the American troops fly back home in time to spend a much-needed holiday with their family soon? Only time will tell but the morale is high and the ground troops will spare no efforts to completely defeat the ERPA forces.
