Few Questions
« on: February 06, 2017, 12:41:37 PM »
Hello 506th,

Had a few questions about the community and some SOPs. Hopefully be able to knock out recruit training this weekend.

1. Whats the average attendance size like?

2. Does your platoon play every weekend? Do you have weekly training's and such?

3. Does the 506th use a Arma3Sync repo at all?

4. And I made all my recruit loadouts in arsenal.

Just a few things I've been wondering about. 1&2 are what I'm mostly interested in though.

Thanks for looking.

1. A Task Force is usually 50ish individuals.

2. Each Task Force has an FTX or Operation every second Sunday or Saturday. In addition, there are weekly Squad training and monthly Platoon Training. In all, you are looking at 7-8 unit events per month.

3. We do not use Arma3Sync repo.

4. Not sure if this is a question, but it is a good idea to be ready with premade load outs as we want everyone to be ready to go minutes within entering the server.

Oops my bad, was thinking while I was typing, I meant to ask if the 506th used the arsenal to kit up or some other means, since I had made my loadout's in arsenal. Was wondering if I needed to construct them another way.

Thanks though!

I'll try to answer these to the best of my abilities.

1. Theoretically speaking, a task force currently has 59 members playing. Now, that's within current structure and assuming only one active zeus operator. Here is a nice breakdown, under the Task Force Structure and Organization Tab.

2. Task forces are on a bi-weekly basis, however, there is always 1-2 operations per weekend. This means that although you only have two operations with your element per month, you can play a lot more than just those two days. Squad trainings are once per week, and platoon trainings are once per month, bringing total required attendance to 7 days a month, although, like I said, official events are running near daily with operations every weekend.

3. As far as I'm aware, no, but I'm not S-4. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

4. While this isn't disallowed, and is something I personally do, I highly advise against this for new members. You have to follow requirments to a T, and any minor error renders the entire loadout unusable. I'd recommend making them in your Recruit class with your instructor  there's an entire hunk of the class dedicated to this. Loadouts are strictly controlled in operations, and no full arsenals are provided.

A note on pre made kits

Or tho its is very good that you have taken the time to makes these kits they will how ever be some what of very little use to you.

In the last part of you RCT Class you and your class will be taken over how to make these kits this is so every one goes in to OSUT on the same page and no one has anything or more of something they shouldn't have.

Ok, I made them according to the student handbook. No biggie.
