Head tracker configurations
« on: February 20, 2017, 01:23:22 PM »
I’ve been using a low budget head tracking setup in Arma and although it works well and gets the job done, I do experience an issue when I look at angles in excess of 45 degrees where my avatar will reduce movement speed to a walking pace. Has anyone else experienced this and know of a work around?

I'm currently running opentrack with a PlayStation Eye and an IR clip. The only actual configurations I've done for Arma is to enable head tracking in the options menu:

(sorry for the necro reply)
Most likely your game character is leaning left/right slightly as if you're peeking in a corner. Adding a deadzone of about a few centimeters to the "X-translation" should fix this.

Also, if you don't use your head tracker for leaning anyways, you can also just disable it altogether by removing the "Tracking Device" keybind in ARMA under Controls > Infantry Movement >  Lean Left & Lean Right plus the associated toggles.
