Does anyone have any experience with installing/using TFAR v0.9.12 (via steam workshop subscription) side by side with the v1.0.259 we use on the 506th?

Playing on other servers that use v0.9.12 shows incompatibility with v1.0.259.

Would it be possible/make sense to install a second instance of TFAR as follows?
In Arma: load TFAR v0.9.12 via Steam workshop
In TS: install v0.9.12 TS addon/plugin; toggle to dissable TFAR addon v1.0.259; enable addon v0.9.12.
Switching back before connecting to a 506th server: unload mod TFAR v0.9.12 (steam); load mod TFAR  v1.0.259; in TS toggle to dissable TFAR addon v0.9.12 ; enable addon v1.0.259.

The idea would be to enable/dissable the corresponding version of TFAR needed for the server one currently wants to play on.

I haven't tried this myself since I don't wanna risk "breaking" my 506th installation before finishing OSUT and getting hell from 1SG for not having my mods straight...

Maybe someone here has tried this and can share his/her experience.

Thanks

After starting Arma, go to the 'mods' tab and create and save a preset for your 506th mods. then, unload all or whatever subset of mods ( such as  506 TFAR), select the STEAM sourced TFAR from the list of mods and add it to your new mod load out. Save the mod loadout Generic or whatever.  You will have to remember to switch to your 506th mod preset and vice versa before you log into  506 servers.

Alternately, Go to your library locate Arma3 right click it and in the list it says "create desktop shortcut"  and append the mod list you want to the shortcut "-mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2" or whatever.

Thank you SGT Stewart. Have you tried this?

What about the TFAR plugin in Teamspeak: keep them both installed and enable/dissable in the Addons/Plugins tab according to the corresponding server requirements?

Keep both addons installed, just enable/disable the one you want to use for the 506th or non 506th. Shouldn't give any problems.
