CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED

TO: 506th Infantry Regiment Command, Fort Campbell
FROM: INSCOM Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia
RE: Ambassador Bryant and LOTN Commander Luis Silva both located

The following intelligence report is classified and should only be distributed to authorized personnel.

Situation of Ambassador Bryant (Camp 523)

Imagery analysts have determined the general location of AMBASSADOR BRYANT to be that of "Camp 523."

Collection is currently ongoing to confirm this finding, but current assessments provide a 75% probability that he is held between LATITUDES 05 and 07 on the mainland, in or near the cities of La Pessagne (033064), Arudy (055069), and Houdan (072062).  The exact location is still under investigation, but the photos indicate the HVT’s pictures were taken on the southern slopes of the mountainous terrain during the times of 0900, 1200, and 1500 hours based upon shadow analysis. The exact dates of the photos cannot be determined. The mountains in this part of the island terrain contain a large amount of quartz, which analysts have determined is present in the photos to further confirm the location.

JSTARS analysis indicates the following traffic patterns over the past two weeks (See image) that will assist in the final determination of the location. Location should be available within the next week as we conduct additional long range surveillance.

ANALYST COMMENTS:
Camp 523 is a well hidden interrogation and execution camp known only colloquially to locals. It has been used to interrogate and dispose of local leaders in the towns that refused ROMN or LOTN control. "Camp 523" is essentially a black site for all intents and purposes, ran by the Los Cazadores special forces unit and under the command of Col. Axel Diego de Rodriguez. Torture is thought to be extreme and commonplace. No known reports could be gathered of anyone ever returning from Camp 523.

Location of LOTN Commander Luis Silva

Based on captured ROMN officer interrogations, it was discovered that LOTN Commander Luis Silva is either currently headquartered in, or assigned to in some fashion, a detention camp in the town of Vigny (030068). This is believed to be a detention facility for COR members that have been taken prisoner. It is publicly known, and not hidden. The degree of interrogation here is less than that of Camp 523, and it's doubtful it goes beyond current "enhanced interrogation" standards. Prisoners are occasionally released from the facility if it's determined they are not COR members. Commander Silva is likely in charge of this particular location.

Through careful long range surrveillance by Task Force Dagger they have determined his schedule with regards to the facility, and it has been identified as a potential target for a raid to capture or kill HVT Commander Luis Silva, and cripple LOTN.

ROMN Prisoners Interrogated

Transcript of Interrogation of Prisoner #3 (American interpreter)
[Notes: Prisoner #3 is a 1LT commanding 2nd Platoon, Delta Company of ROMN’s 3rd Infantry Battalion. He appeared shaken, confused, and exhibited all the signs of PTSD. Body counts indicated that his platoon suffered 85% casualties and that his company suffered 65% casualties and that he is the lone surviving officer of the ROMN forces defending La Trinite. His dogtags indicate he is 27 years old and he is well within even American Military grooming standards.]

Interrogator: You are 1LT Orosco Valenzeula, are you not?
Prisoner #3: I am.
Interrogator: You were in command of an infantry platoon defending La Trinite correct?
Prisoner #3: I was.
(Prisoner was cooperative, but generally unable to focus or concentrate. His hands shook and tears would occasionally appear. Diagnosis is SEVERE PTSD)
Interrogator: What do you know of President Perez and Ambassador Bryant’s location?
Prisoner #3: They were at Camp Vigny, at first. Then they were taken somewhere else.
Interrogator: Where were they taken?
Prisoner #3: I don’t know.
Interrogator: Who controlled Camp Vigny?
Prisoner #3: The militia, they protect the camp. Commander Silva is in charge of it, he's there often.
Interrogator: How many prisoners and guards are there?
Prisoner #3: I don’t know, I've never seen it myself.
Interrogator: How does ROMN intend on fighting us?
Prisoner #3: It doesn’t matter, none of it worked so far. You killed my command; you killed my men.
Interrogator: How were you told to fight us?
Prisoner #3: It doesn’t matter now.
(Interrogation was concluded as Prisoner #3 seemed to fall into an unreachable state. Losing his command severely damaged him psychologically. No further information could be gained.)

Takeaways:
There is a prisoner camp called Camp Vigny, Ambassador Bryant and President were briefly held there and moved. LOTN Commander Luis Silva is reportedly in charge of the facility. Recommend immediate raid against the facility to ascertain possible intelligence towards locating President Perez and Ambassador Bryant, possible kill or capture mission for Commander Silva.

Transcript of Interrogation of Prisoner #5 (American interpreter)
[Notes: Prisoner #5 is a radio operator for Prisoner #3’s Company HQ, captured in La Trinite. He is the equivalent of a US Army Specialist. He has severe burns on his back from a ruptured battery from his radio. Like all other ROMN POWs he is well within grooming standards even by American standards. He has a class ring from a local Malden college, so he is somewhat well-educated.]

Interrogator: You are a radio man correct?
Prisoner #5: I was, but my radio was hit and we were without communications.
Interrogator: What did you hear on your radio before that?
Prisoner #5: A lot, I listened to every channel so my captain could know what was going on.
Interrogator: What did you hear?
Prisoner #5: A lot of things. Arguments mostly between the LOTN militia and ROMN command. In case you didn’t notice LOTN is useless.
(Prisoner #5 appears to have a real hatred of LOTN)
Interrogator: What would the militia say?
Prisoner #5: They always wanted more prisoners, more weapons, more vehicles. My captain believes, or believed… that Silva is going to betray us. But he had no evidence.
Interrogator: You know many militia died in La Trinite and Larche right?
Prisoner #5: And I thank those men for that. They fight well, when they are allowed to.
Interrogator: What does that mean?
Prisoner #5: They are obsessed with their religion, the towns they control, even their prison in Vigny. They weren’t happy when we took Perez and your ambassador to Camp 523.
(Prisoner #5 appears to be quite arrogant, interrogators found him easy to prod for information.)
Interrogator: Where is Camp 523?
Prisoner #5: I don’t know, somewhere secret, Los Cazadores refuses to let anyone near it. Any time anyone mentions that place they “visit” them. See this? (Prisoner pointed to a black eye) This is a parting gift from a Los Cazadores soldier! He said I talk too much on the radio.
(Prisoner #5 then appeared to figure out that he had provided very valuable information, and refused to speak anymore.)

Takeways:
Prisoner #5 was very helpful. LOTN and ROMN relations appear to be straining as well, if the outlook of this man is regular for the other ROMN troops and officers. It now seems that Los Cazadores now is heavily policing ROMN and LOTN comms, personally visiting unit radio operators and commanders that have loose lips to punish them as such. We now know that President Perez and Ambasador Bryant were located at the detention facility in Vigny, then moved to Camp 523. (ANALYST NOTE: It has since been confirmed that President Perez has been moved to another location, and only Ambassador Bryant is still in Camp 523.)

Nuevo Sympathizers Abducted and Executed

LOTN and ROMN forces are reportedly responsible for abducting Nuevo citizens who have aided American and COR forces in the fight against General Aguilar. Los Cazadores reportedly raided the town of Lollise and abducted three village elders and killed a dozen COR members without being noticed or discovered by the town watch. The bodies were found with their throats slit and their blood was used to paint the words: "Lealtad o Muerte" (Loyalty or Death) on the town church. LOTN videos show Commander Luis Silva personally shooting several confirmed abductees from Larche as a warning to the citizens of Malden against acting against either LOTN or ROMN.

Stars and Stripes article regarding the 506th's actions in Malden through Phase 03-18.

AMERICAN FORCES STRUGGLE AND PUSH FORWARD ON MALDEN
Stars and Stripes

American forces had to fight more than the enemy during a late afternoon operation against forces loyal to Malden dictator Aguilar. Regular ROMN forces took to the offensive against American forces holding a checkpoint at Mt. Chauve, Northeast of the town of Goisse on the West Coast of the island.

The battle has been described as an excellent piece of luck for American forces. However ROMN forces inflicted casualties on the American defenders and their reinforcements from the 506th Infantry Regiment’s Task Force Alpha. Six Americans were killed and one MRAP was destroyed by an armored ROMN force that was consequently wiped out. A T-72B3 Main Battle Tank, a BMP-3, four SA-19 “Tunguska” SPAAG’s, and three BTR-80A’s were destroyed along with over fifty ROMN troops. However this was the final success for American forces.

An assault upon the town of Goisse met with fierce resistance from ROMN forces, and American aircraft and helicopters were under continual fire from hand-held SAM missiles and another Tunguska that was in the town. Six ROMN GAZ-2330 “Tigr” MRAP’s were destroyed or disabled in the subsequent assault. Heavy machine gun fire and automatic grenade launcher fire also slowed the American assault, and the American force had only just begun an attack into the town itself when they had to disengage and withdraw, reportedly upon orders to aid Coalition of Rebels fighters who held the nearby town of Larche.

Reports differ, but in the subsequent withdrawal the American forces took heavy fire from ROMN armored vehicles laying in ambush. At the same time a system of extremely severe weather struck the island, and American aircraft and ground forces were ordered to return to base. ROMN forces attempted to wrest away control of the Larche from COR fighters but were stymied and pushed back by Task Force Alpha. COR reported that they had lost 46 of their fighters, with varying numbers of wounded and captured.  Refugees were caught in the storm as COR and the American forces withdraw following the fight and many have been reported to have suffered and succumbed to the harsh elements.

ROMN claims state that they had killed fifty Americans and destroyed a COR base, taking 12 prisoners. Pentagon sources stated that they could not confirm numbers of COR dead. Sources from the island on both sides of the conflict came in quickly on social media. Civilians also suffered as many as a hundred killed and wounded according the UN sources.

“We saw the smoke rising from the American outpost. We had been up to watch the men depart before morning, my wife and the other wives gave them fruit and fish for breakfast, I think they did well, we have taken another step to destroying the foreign invader’s presence on our sacred island,” the mayor of Goisse said in a small press briefing as a storm raged outside.

In a public press briefing General Aguilar decorated several ROMN soldiers who had survived the attack on Goisse, and on a screen behind them was footage from a helmet camera that showed American forces leaving the town in ROMN hands.

“We have stopped the American advance, and pushed them back in one fell swoop. The Loa Spirits and God are with us, the Americans came in the storm, and they will be driven away by the storm, our storm!” General Aguilar stated with the three men wearing their new medals behind him.

“We counted on them, they said they’d protect us, but they betrayed us, Aguilar’s thugs beat them!” an old woman reportedly driven from her home in Larche said through tears in her eyes.

“They hit the town with mortars, with artillery, and with bullets. We were sport for them! I saw my neighbor’s house collapse when it exploded. They had three families inside. I haven’t seen any of them here, I’m afraid they’re dead,” a man said as he held a crying child against his hip while his silent wife stood on the other side, holding an infant in her arms.

Later in the day forces from the 506th Infantry Regiment’s Task Force Charlie launched a coordinated offensive to halt a coming ROMN counterattack consisting of heavily mechanized enemy forces. Five Americans were killed in the seizing of the town of Arudy and more than a hundred ROMN soldiers were killed as well. UN human rights organization IDAP accused the American forces of shooting and killing an aid worker working in the town of Arudy at a small IDAP facility. The name of the worker has been confirmed as Dr. Franklin Parnell, a Canadian citizen who had volunteered his services from his private medical practice in Edmonton in the province of Alberta, Canada. The UN has pledged an investigation into the death of Dr. Parnell, there has been no statement from the Pentagon.

American forces of Task Force Charlie initially conducted an assault that seized the high ground from which ROMN and LOTN forces had used to seize the town of Larche. COR mortar bombardment had pushed ROMN and LOTN forces from the ridgeline, and American forces crested the hill unopposed but ROMN forces engaged the American forces immediately upon revealing themselves by going over the ridge. Rocky terrain and high ground gave American forces an advantage that they utilized to push the ROMN forces back with only a few soldiers being wounded. Close combat continued in the rocky terrain, and ROMN armored vehicles were easily trapped and destroyed when they attempted a counterattack before the town of Arudy came under attack.

American forces were bloodied when they came into contact with the town and ROMN reinforcements arrived. A pair of coordinated counterattacks into the town and to the south of the town inflicted five killed and twenty wounded, nearly cutting off the American squad that was holding a foothold in the town. Only superior American firepower managed to prevent a disaster on the outskirts of town where a motorized convoy of ROMN troops was ambushed after believing mortar strikes had eliminated the American position. The counterattack petered out after American forces reinforced their positions and seized the town. ROMN forces subsequently pulled back.

During the drawdown of fighting IDAP workers began to spread out from their humanitarian outpost to aid any injured individuals that they could. Details remain elusive, but it was believed that during this period aid worker Dr. Franklin Parnell was killed by a gunshot from the American side. ROMN sources claim that the doctor was aiding a wounded ROMN soldier and American forces ordered him to stop and shot him when he refused.

IDAP public spokeswoman Rosario Barros stated to the BBC: “We do not yet have any details aside from the following. IDAP workers, including Dr. Parnell, were allowed by standard operating procedure to go and render any aid they could to anyone who needed it. Dr. Parnell was assigned to check the eastern portion of town by himself. We heard a gunshot, and subsequently one of our other workers went to check on him. He found Dr. Parnell killed by a gunshot wound in front of American soldiers who had dug in. Preemptive conclusions indicate that he was killed by American soldiers. We demand those responsible be held accountable according to the international law and our sympathies are extended to the family and loved ones of Dr. Parnell.”

A ROMN public statement on the incident was equally damning of American actions in Arudy: “IDAP workers hold the protections of the rights of man, and those who volunteer their lives to the aiding of innocents of our nation shall always have the same protection as our own citizens. Dr. Parnell was a good man, he was well-liked by those soldiers who were assigned to his protection. We extend our sympathies to Dr. Parnell’s families, and pledge that justice will be given to them. This is a promise from all soldiers of the Republic.”

American sources did not comment on the incident. By the end of the fighting several more civilians died to other unknown causes, both sides pointed the blame at the other, citing gross misuse of force.

At the same time another American push successfully drove ROMN forces from the coastal towns of Dourdan and Houdan. Task Force Bravo, also of the 506th Infantry Regiment, encountered a ROMN armored convoy, and successfully eliminated it, destroying at least a half dozen armored vehicles including Russian-built and upgraded T-72 Main Battle Tanks and BMP-3 Infantry Fighting Vehicles. American forces took continuous heavy fire from mortars, snipers, and autocannons positioned both in the town and on Mt. Cime, a rocky and steep mountain with several shallow caves. American airstrikes dealt continuous casualties to ROMN forces and forced the dictatorship’s forces to finally retreat after several failed counterattacks by both infantry and armor.

Numerous American troops were wounded, but none have so far been reported killed. ROMN claims that they killed many Americans, and retreated to more defensible positions after heavy airstrikes pushed them out of their incomplete forward fortifications. This leaves only two major population centers in General Aguilar’s control, La Pessagne and La Porte, the capital. A COR spokesman stated to the local Malden Central Times: “The forces of justice are successfully pushing the pretender back, now half of our island is liberated, and half is soon to be liberated. To those who would resist justice: surrender and you will be given mercy and forgiveness. Those who resist will not find mercy at the end of a gun.”

Merciless reprisals have been reported at the hands of LOTN. A pair of Nuevo reporters, employees of the Malden Central Times who had been providing information to the news media from their makeshift offices in the town of Lolisse, were found murdered in their homes shortly before the third American series of offensives. LOTN claimed responsibility, stating: “All traitors will be punished.”
