Posting An image to the forums

Does anyone know how to correctly post an image to the forums ? I tried posting an image to the forums but when i clicked the "Insert Image" button i got confused and i forgot how to post a image.

You need to upload it to something like Imgur first, then place the url in img tags.

Yeah i did that but the URL it's giving me isn't giving me a URL with .jpg at the end.
