The World - International Times - January 27, 2015

As the conflict in Podagorsk intensifies US Ground troops have now been stationed at the UN Air Base on the island of Bolshevik. British and French naval and aviation units have been relocated to NATO bases on the black sea. The region seems to be a powder keg waiting for a fuse. IT's very own Phillip Jennings has been behind the lines in RPLA controlled Podagorsk and had a brief opportunity to interview a Commander of one of the RPLA units based in Zirnitra. The following is  a section of the transcript of that interview which was cut-short by what can only be assumed was a NATO Air Strike.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Jennings: “Thank you for meeting with me today. To get things started right away, tell us about why you are here and what you are trying to do”
RPLA Officer: “We (RPLA) finally moved over from Chernarus over to Podagorsk in our continued struggle against Western ideologies.”
Jennings: “Could you explain your struggle a little more in-depth?”
RPLA Officer: “Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Western countries, particularly those aligned with NATO, have been sticking their nose in culture. They have no reason to politically interact with us, other than to rape our homelands of their resources to power their unethical economic practices.”
Jennings: “Thank you. Recently, the President of the United States declared that US and other NATO forces will be deploying to Podagorsk for peace keeping operations, are you aware of this”
RPLA Officer: “Of course we are aware of this, do you think we are some uneducated terrorists fighting for some blind cause without structure?”
Jennings: ”No, no, of cour-“
RPLA Officer: “We are very well that once again, Western countries are coming here, but we are not worried.”
Jennings: “You are not worried? With recent American Intervention in Lybia, Syria and Iraq as seemed to change the tide of the conflicts in those parts of the world.”
RPLA Officer: “The thing is, those conflicts you named, America is not actually fighting.”
Jennings: “Could you explain what you mean by that?”
RPLA Officer: “American likes to hide behind their planes and their missiles. They don’t actually want to get into ground combat operations. We are pretty much free to do as we please with or without them in country.”
Jennings: “You mean you are not scared of airstrikes and cruise missiles?”
RPLA Officer: “Well of course we are, there is no way we can fight them. Well, actually there is. If the Americans come and engage us with them, we will just garrison ourselves in civilian infrastructure. The Americans won’t target us if there is a possibility of collateral damage.”
Jennings: “What about the American ground troops?”
RPLA Officer: “Like I said, America doesn’t want to get into a ground war. They are here to protect their base. And feed those who have fled their homes. They are going to purposely cause more refugees so hook the populace on their dependency. Just more proof that they don’t belong in this part of the world.”
Jennings: “So you don’t believe the Americans will seek out in an active ground war?”
RPLA Officer: “No, they won’t leave their bases. The only thing we might have to worry about is if they arm and train a resistance. But even then we are far better soldiers, and better equipped. The Americans will be here for a while, bleed and then leave, like their interactions in Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq.”
Jennings: “Why are you so su-“

Reporter Phillip Jennings was missing for several days but has contacted International Times to report he is safe and well. He is reporting that it would seem British and French air power are engaged in strategic air strikes attempting to damage or limit the effect of RPLA artillery positions. It would seem NATO does in fact intend to take the fight to the RPLA on Podagorskan soil.

Oh, irony, you cad...

Assuming this guy isn't one crispy separatist, he's going to have a real bad day once the 506th hits the scene.
