Interested in applying to the Aviation detachments of the 506th Infantry Regiment Realism Unit? Want to fly the Blackhawk, Chinook, Littlebird and Apache Helicopters? Want to fly the A-10?

Make sure you read over the main requirements before submitting your application.

If you want to be an Army Helicopter Aviator or a USAF Fighter Pilot with the Aviation Detachments of the 506th IR here are a few additional things you should know.

  • Apply using the form and select aviation as your desired billet.
  • You will be required to attend Recruit Training.
  • You will be required to attend OSUT Advanced Infantry Training
  • After graduation from OSUT you can elect to go into Aviation and serve as a Warrant Officer Candidate (WOC) in the 101st ABD Helicopter Aviation Detachment or as a Fighter Pilot in the 74th Squadron USAF.
  • If there are no open pilot billets you will be qualified to join the infantry while you wait on an open billet.

If you have any other questions regarding the application process, please contact one of our recruiting staff.
