Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
OPFOR's anti-air capabilities remain limited. The British Royal Air Force is no longer conducting exercises over the region.
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
The Sons of Al-Karbouli have lost significant materiel, manpower and territorial control across the Al-Anbar Governorate since the beginning of the deployment, and their actions have become much more desperate as a result. A number of OPFOR counter-attacks against BLUFOR and INDFOR positions were extremely costly for the OPFOR, but were ultimately successful due to a lack of available BLUFOR QRF.
The SoAK has thus increasingly turned towards more coercive recruitment methods to make up for their massive attrition rates, especially now that their pool of volunteer fighters has dried up. The number of cooperative INDFOR militia factions willing to fight alongside the SoAK, either for ideology or for a paycheck, is also shrinking at a rapid pace.
As the end of the SoAK as a fighting force is now in sight, 506th forces are now being deployed against any remaining OPFOR strong points and HQs directly.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
A blue-on-green incident during phase 03 resulted in the deaths of two Iraqi Armed Forces personnel. In response, the IAF has withdrawn all offers of support or collaboration with BLUFOR operations. With the IAF maintaining a considerable presence in the region, all troopers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution when engaging targets during firefights to avoid further deterioration of relations between BLUFOR and INDFOR.
Fallujah Airbase to the North-East of Fallujah was previously seized from the Iraqi Armed Forces by the SoAK during phase 04. The IAF were able to inflict high casualties on the attackers, but were ultimately too under-manned and under-prepared to defend against an attack of that magnitude. The IAF finally reclaimed the airbase during the early morning hours on the 29th of December with the help of attached BLUFOR assets.
The unknown Special Forces group that operated in Task Force Alpha's AO during Phase 04 is still being investigated, and S-2 will have an INTREP ready as soon as more information is available.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
The Al-Mansoori Industrial Complex was a relief distribution and gathering point for many civilians fleeing from the heavy fighting within the city. Since the events within the Fallujah College of Medicine, many civilians who have been taking refuge within the compound have returned to the city, with the exception of any remaining civilian prisoners illegally detained by the SoAK. The compound is likely to be heavily fortified as one of the last remaining strongpoints the SoAK still has control over, thus the successful capture of this facility and the release of the prisoners will greatly improve BLUFOR's standing across the greater region, both in the military sense as well as the political sense.
