We have a promotion system where you earn 4 promotion points every 2 weeks that you are active duty in the unit. Additionally, you also need Time in Grade to advance in rank. Each rank requires a certain amount of TiG and promo points, which increases as you get higher up the chain. However, certain billets are capped out at certain ranks, for example a Fire Team Leader can only achieve the rank of SGT and then he must be selected by his Platoon HQ to be a Squad Leader to continue ranking up and so on.
