[ACCEPTED] McCelvy Application
« on: April 12, 2015, 03:53:06 PM »
First Name: Robert
Last Name: McCelvy
Age: 34
Desired Duty Assignment: 11B Machine Gunner

ArmA III Player ID: 76561198089410776

How long have you been playing ArmA III?: 1 week
Are you currently a member of an ArmA III gaming clan or unit?: No
Why do you want to join the 506th Infantry Regiment Realism Unit?: I have been interested in more realistic gameplay for several years. I was first introduced to this style of game with Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising on PS3. I have been playing Battlefield exclusively since Bad Company. As I have aged, I feel that I have grown apart from console gaming. Today's popular games are aimed at a younger individual with a shorter attention span. I stumble upon Capt. Drumheller on YouTube, about a year ago,  while he was with the 15th. Through him I discovered several other individuals that also posted videos of the same operations. The numerous perspectives of the same operation really offered a glimpse into how immersive a video game can be. I watch these videos like a TV show. A couple of weeks ago I built my first PC. About a week ago I purchased Arma 3. Now, I am ready to get started. I am new to a keyboard and mouse for gaming, but it is getting better each day. I feel that I am a a good recruit because I don't have any old expectations or habits that will need to be broken for me to be productive member of the 506th.

If you have elected either rotary wing pilot, fighter pilot, combat engineer or medic, if all billets are full by the time you finish the training pipeline, you may have to go infantry for the time being. Do you understand this?: Yes

Please check your user profile and ensure that the email address you registered with is correct. Have you done this?: Yes

Do you understand the definition of realism gaming according to the 506th realism unit, and is this the type of realism experience you desire and are willing to abide by?: Yes

Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit and the criteria for being active and taking a billet in this unit and that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserve platoon?: Yes

You understand the fact that this unit is a EST (GMT -5) time zone based unit, and the attendance requirements of operations are dependent on your choice of Sundays at 2000 EST (0100 GMT) or Saturdays at 2000 EST (0100 GMT)?: Yes
