Unfortunately, there are no space battles similar to Battlefront 2, but dogfighting remains a major part of the game and is atmospheric, allowing players to pilot X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and the
Millennium Falcon. Similar to Battlefront 2, players can also control hero units, and like DICE's Battlefield series, there are powerful weapons to be picked up in the field in order to aid you.
The game-modes have not been announced in any real detail, however it has been stated that the maximum server population is 40 players (20v20), and the minimum is 8 players. One game-mode that has been announced is "Walker Assault", which appears to be Rebels fighting asymmetrically against Imperial forces that have heavy armor support, but more stratified details do not exist.
