Beta 1.40 Legacy Disabled? [Reproduced]

I'm a little lost. I've downloaded the 1.40 legacy folder (thank you, SGT Bernal!) but have no idea what to do with it. Pretty sure I can't just dump it on top of my Steam's ArmA 3 folder and expect it to run 1.40. So, how do we run the legacy version?

As said before in this topic, just wait for Command staff to post an official stance on the matter once they figure out what is going to be done regarding the update.
