Mod Versions
« on: November 01, 2015, 10:24:39 AM »
Hey I'm new to the community and just had a quick question and I'm sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere else on the forum but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere.

My question is do I have to have the specified version of the mods that are stated on the mod depot page (e.g. AiATP 10-18 update) or can I just use the most current version of the mods out there? Also if I do need the specific version, how do I go about getting that? The links in the mod depot just seem to take me to the most recent version. And finally, is there a server that I can test out my mods to see if they are working correctly or not? Thanks,

Grimm

Yes, you must use the versions that are stated on the Mod Depot page. Often times the mods will be updated a little behind the "most current" so we can fully test. You want to have your mods exactly like the ones we post up.

You follow the step-by-step instructions here > http://www.506thir.net/forums/index.php?topic=611.0
All of our mods are downloaded from either Google Drive or Mega except for AiATP and the AiATP Patch, so those 2 are the only ones you need to get from Armaholic.

Yes. You usually want to do the final tests on the "506th Official" servers, however the 506th Assault Server is also a good one to use. It is usually correct unless they just released an update to our mod packs. They will also have you log onto an Official server in your Recruit Training to test your mods.

Hope that helps and also be sure to be on TS as many people can help you (if you see me on there ping me and I'll try to assist). This video is also good for the mod setup > http://www.506thir.net/forums/index.php?topic=2130.0
Let us know, good luck!

Also I noticed I need a password for the Assault server...I'm assuming I have to finish training before given the password?

Just ask someone in a channel. We don't want it public.
