1. Joining the 506th Infantry Regiment Realism Unit1.1 New Join PolicyYou can find the New Join Policy
here. Read this before submitting an application.
1.2 Minimum Age PolicyThe 506th IR RU has a minimum age of 18. There are
no exceptions to this policy.
1.3 ARMA ReforgerYou must own a legitimate copy of ARMA Reforger.
1.4 CommunicationsYou must have a microphone that works with either PC or Xbox.
1.5 Find your PIDIn order to submit an application, you must provide your ARMA Player ID (PID). You can do so by logging into your
Steam profile and copying the URL. Go to
this website, paste the URL and hit enter. Your ARMA PID is the 17 digit long "steamID64".
If you are playing on Xbox, this is your gamertag.
2. Definition of Roleplay and RealismThis means you are playing a role, which is part of the realism experience. You will role-play in game as a PVT, SPC, SGT, Infantryman, Medic, etc. You are expected to act as if you are that soldier in that environment when you are playing and in all other official settings.
This means that you need to be ready to immerse yourself in your role while in-game and in official settings. From mission start to mission end you need to pretend that you are in a combat environment - no talking about your "fps" or "lag" or "teamspeak issues" unless there is a critical emergency that needs to be addressed and there isn't a way that you can get the point across without breaking immersion. Don't talk about what you're watching on TV while you're playing or what other people around you are doing in real life. These are all things that break the immersion that is desired by others, and they won't be tolerated.
If you cannot control your voice activation, you will be required to switch to a push-to-talk profile. If you have loud TV or music in the background, or you eat or drink, or there are people or loud children that are constantly making noise, or you use speakers that feed-back through your microphone, or any other sort of voice activation issues, you will be required to switch to PTT. This can be one of the single most immersion-breaking experiences, and it will not be tolerated.
It is our hope in the 506th that we provide the ARMA realism experience that you are looking for. See you on the battlefield!
3. Naming PolicyYou are not required to use your real name, and therefore many members of the unit use fake names. If you do choose to use a fake name, the following policies apply:
- It may not be a celebrity/ silly name
- It must be a realistic name
All names are subject to recruitment approval.

You must complete all 4 days of OSUT in order, as each day builds upon the last.
