Operation/Patrol Time & Weather Information
S-2 brief for 19th of March 2026, 1100 hrs. Conditions are 21F, overcast with recent snowfall, and visibility is significantly reduced.
Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
Self-propelled triple A systems are still present in the AO, and MANPADS are confirmed to have been deployed against D/Co during the airfield seizure.
Fog may reduce FLIR capability and limit operating altitudes for effective CAS or ISR.
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Enemy forces are likely exploiting reduced visibility as a window of opportunity to reposition or reorganize their assets. We will have to wait until the weather breaks to regain the full range of traditional ISR, and they are suspected to be fully aware of that.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Alpha Company have successfully seized Airbase Worsley. There is SIGINT indicating a substantial enemy force is moving in a south or south-easterly direction IVO Libreval, and 24th MEU have been expecting some sort of counter-attack in their sector. It is possible that parts of the enemy force could divert toward the airbase, but S-2 believes local enemy command and control has been eliminated via neutralization of the airfield HQ.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-Specific Intelligence
During Third Platoon's final actions on objective, members of ODA 5221 were retasked from them to investigate an unlabeled complex built up at [GRID 044075] in regards to an intel tip relayed by a 24th MEU scouting party. Comms were lost shortly after, and it is believed the entire Marine detachment there was killed or captured. Members of Stalker 1 reported heavy combat between bursts of jamming signals and are believed to be cut off or surrounded at this time.
