I'd honestly much rather build a PC, but I'm waiting til I'm back stateside. My current job has me moving from one tac site to the next on a monthly basis and I wanted a laptop to be mobile for that time. Once I'm stateside and stuck in a single spot to train, I'll build my desktop and probably...
I know jack shoot about computers or computer performance, I'll be honest. But I've learned a little bit in my 3 years of PC gaming and 2 years of Arma with you guys on the world's worst advertised "gaming laptop" (don't ever buy Lenovo, kids). Right now, I'm looking for a minimum i7 4700 up, 12...
If you can't find them, we have a listing of direct connect IP addresses available. If I were you I speak to your OSUT instructor about acquiring them if necessary.
The entire modpack is NOT to be given out publicly however it is mainly just a combination of other mods that can be found elsewhere. Here's the link to Mao's Weapon Sway Fix on Armaholic for example.
I don't know anyhting about you having an ACE issue regarding weapon sway. However if you're using the 506th Modpack as well then you shouldn't have any issue with sway because we have Mao's Sway fix in our modpack.
Last I checked, there are only 3 forms of M4 compatible ammunition in the official arsenal box, the Bohemia Interactive 5.56mm ammo, the BI 5.56mm Red Tracer ammo, and the RHS Mk318 5.56mm ammo.
Unfortunately, it's not exactly specified what type of ammo the BI 5.56mm magazines are but I would...
I think you got it all about right. Except the understanding of retirement. Now I'm not sure how the Air Force does retirement but I know for the Army, you can leave once your contract term of service has been fulfilled (usually about 8 years for officers). However, if you serve for 20+ years...
Friendly reminder that we have both the BI 5.56mm ammunition and the Mk318 ammunition in the official arsenal box. I use the 318 and have never had a problem hitting or suppressing targets at any range under 600 meters.
Additionally, I've found that the differences from which rifle, optic, and...
Mr. Gaudet is correct. You should always have the account you first created when you loaded up Arma 3 for the first time. This account establishes your Arma 3 Player ID and is permanent.
Additionally, you should have an account created for the 506th. This account's name and other information...
It might be a file inside of RHS USF mod that is missing. I'd recommend completely deleting and then downloading both ACE3 and RHS USF just to be sure.
Usually if you just filter "506", you'll get of the servers associated with the unit. Other than that, filter "pv20". For 506th servers, ask any NCO in the unit on TeamSpeak for passwords. For PV20 servers, ask CPL O. Thomas, the server owner.
As the LT said, there isn't much in terms of specific target dimensions. I'd say all Arma 3 character models are between 71-74" in height and approximately the same build.
Ranging targets anywhere from 400-1200m is as easy as getting the range with your Vectors, adjusting the zeroing of your...
Sounds like you've got a corrupted/missing PBO in your @506th mod folder. I'd recommend deleting your @506th folder and re-downloading it.
Insure that your internet connection is stable and your computer stays awake for the entire download.
Keep in mind that the M4s, M150 optics, and the M855A1 ammunition all come out of RHS, therefore it makes sense that they match up the best.
Realistically, a standard M4 should be point target effective at 400-500m and area target effective at 500-600m. Any distance beyond that, you're just...
The only thing I could recommend would be to leave alone all the 506th mods, download additional mods from a source other than the Workshop, and rename those files so they appear to be separate mods when loaded into your Arma 3 Launcher. I personally have 3 versions of CBA, 4 versions of ACE3...
If by "first training stage" you mean Recruit Training, only a single approximately 2 hour long class is required to sort out mods and conduct an introduction to the 506th IR RU.
After Recruit Training is completed properly, you attend AIT. In AIT you learn necessary in game skills, combat...
