You need a userconfig file. Download the following link and move the file into your Arma 3 directory. Additionally, I'd recommend altering your mod load. I usually load mine as follows:

You may have just had a minor error starting up Arma and a mod in your ACE file simply failed to initialized properly. OR You may have corrupted your ACE file somehow or deleted/lost the PBO related to that mod. I'd recommend a quick reinstall of both your @506th mod as well as your @ACE mod...

The first one I don't know about. The second one I know is an issue I have had before and not sure how to fix it other than turning off 506th and CBA. The last, if you're talking about your vanilla HUD with the ammo counter, that is modded out with ACE3.

You test your ability to connect to Official servers during Recruit Training class. Other than that, I would suggest messaging someone like PFC O. Thomas in regards to connecting to one of his server instances that have all the standard mods installed. Its not guaranteed, but I'd say 9 times out...

You need to insure that this does not affect your ability to connect to Official servers properly. If you have any errors during official training or operations, you will be swiftly kicked from the server.

For some of the big downloads, I usually just leave my computer on overnight or during the day since my internet speed is pretty slow too.
