Also - I would encourage you to go Intel if/when you upgrade if you can. In my experience and in most posts online, it is known Arma loves Intel chipsets over the AMD ones...not required, but something to think about. I know that means a lot of change, but just a heads up.

Excellent news - yes, correctly installed drivers will definitely help as they control the speed of the fans usually. I see the same thing with my nVidia cards on test rigs I setup frequently. Glad you got it sorted though

You should - I'll get over 200 in editor which will go between 30 - 70 in Ops depending on the map and what's going on. But it's Arma so 30-70 in Ops is totally reasonable and very nice/playable.

It's not a bad game, IF you get a good squad group lol. The shooting mechanics are a little wonky, and there is definitely a few bugs - however that is to be expected for an Alpha stage game. There actually is a fairly large community already, which does make it better than most Alpha games imo...

What are your PC specs? I'm wondering if I need to do better/more Arma preference and settings tweaking...I feel like I've done so much, but my FPS is inconsistent. Some Ops I'm getting 50+ FPS, other times around 30...it is frustrating

Well said sir. PV1 Lu - if you use the Arma Launcher, click the down arrow next to "Play" and choose "Play un-modded". That's the best way to start up the game if you're playing single player imo
