My desktop is a 2k resolution machine and my laptop is 1920x1080 but I have noticed since I got the laptop last month if I fire up a game on it then it will replace the settings and that invariably will mess up multiple things but especially video. Can they be decoupled?

Public server might be down as it isn't showing online. Would it be possible for someone to take a look when they have time please? No rush I know people are busy.

I believe I resolved this. There is a windows utility called Powertoys that is optional and it changes the behavior of the Windows key. I removed it and will try and test it once I have someone I can interact with.
