You will get your PV1 Tag at the end of recruit training. And if I remember correctly you will get the 506th Tag at the end of OSUT with your PV2 Tag.

If you have the mods downloaded from your welcome aboard message you should be alright. But if you wish to test it out your mods before training I'd suggest trying out the Patrol Op server
