Operation/Patrol Time & Weather Information
The time is noon, 13th of March. Temperature is the highest it'll be for today, about 31 F. No precipitation is expected within Task Force Alpha's operational window, but conditions in the next twelve to twenty-four hours will favor snowfall.

Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
A battalion of heavily-outfitted, Russian-speaking militia remain in control of the island's only improved airstrip (AIRBASE MANTICORE). While special operations forces recently neutralized a portion of the air defense and artillery batteries in the northwest, reports of self-propelled triple A systems continue to surface. No MANPADS threat has yet been confirmed, but it is well within the technological capability of some of these forces; if you spot such a system anywhere, even unmanned, report it up your chain of command immediately.

Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Suspected hybrid warfare activity is continuing on Merak Island, despite heavy ground combat actions by friendly forces during Phase 01. Security forces are confirmed to have been entirely replaced by a mixture of popular militias and other, more organized groups. The acting government, the Jamdy National Restoration Council, claims authority over some of these groups and has labeled them the JPR--the Jamdy People's Republic. No state actor has claimed responsibility for sponsoring the JNRC uprising, but funding and organization strongly suggests Eastern Bloc involvement.

Recommendations
  • Continued use of tight Rules of Engagement (ROE).
  • Pursue counter-propaganda objectives to fix enemy information operations, & keep the initiative in the information warfare battlespace.
  • Search for intelligence opportunities.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
  • Recent Operations: Elements of 24th MEU FORECON and ODA 5221 attempted to capture a high value target in vicinity of Libreval, and have gained some intelligence and local support in the vicinity. They will be linking up with Task Force Alpha IVO the WHO Camp once the area is secure.
  • AO Stability: Stability in the local Area of Operations is generally non-existent, save for pockets of dubious local governance. No known active party holds a legally-recognized claim to authority.
  • Merak Water Treatment Plant: The water treatment plant serving the island has been taken offline by a number of weapons fires and blasts in its vicinity during Phase 01-26. This is projected to raise discontent and may last several weeks, depending on how long it takes engineering crews to assess and repair the damage.
  • Civilian Casualties: A significant number of uninvolved individuals have been encountered deceased by friendly forces, and have been flown to the USNS Mercy for collection by the Norwegian government. Others are suspected to have been misidentified as enemy militia before being engaged by friendly forces and were picked up by noncombatant individuals suspected of enemy affiliation.
  • Hardware: Enemy forces have access to outdated Soviet hardware and at least a small amount of newer-generation equipment such as GAZs. Tactics displayed have largely been poor, but well-organized.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-Specific Intelligence
  • Allegiance & Identification: There is no clear division between civilian or military participation, and enemy combatants seen so far generally do not wear flags, unit insignia, or uniforms. At least some of the actors involved are suspected of foreign entanglement, and display features associated with deceptions or front groups.
  • Hostile Tactics: Enemy forces have demonstrated a willingness to use hostages as shields to steer narratives and battles. Their proximity to innocents and key infrastructure heavily limits kinetic response options.
High-Value Individuals / High-Value Targets (HVI/HVT)
  • Daniel Oygaard (HVI): Lieutenant Governor of the Jamdy Archipelago. He is believed to be in custody of the JPR.
  • Carl Ågren (HVI): AGS board member leading the opposition to Bakholdin; he refused to legitimize the worker strike. His status and whereabouts are still not accounted-for, and he was confirmed not present among the dead at the AGS Powerplant.
S-2 Information Requirements & Priorities
  • Priority Intel Requirements (PIR):S-2 is actively seeking any actionable information regarding:
      • The identities and locations of other worker leadership involved in the AGS plant strike.
      • The identity, command structure, and leadership of the JPR militia.
      • The exact whereabouts of Lieutenant Governor Oygaard, who was detained on 07MAR26 and is believed to be held in unlawful custody at an unknown location. He is a priority target for S-2 intelligence debriefing.
