Just saw this...
That can also cause all sorts of issues and not even give you any feedback. Six years is plenty for an OS and it can start throwing hissy fits at you...
It could still be GPU related, as Arma is foreign to that concept. But it can be a relation between the specific game and the hardware configuration, as well. Maybe they don't like one another.
I would call these 'mysterious crashes' as 'features' and be done with it.
But, this is my list of things to check:
- you said temperature isn't an issue, but I'd rather you check - are you monitoring it in real time? Are the fan inputs and outputs clear and not covered in a blanket of lints?
-...
If you record stuff, even at high bitrates, you can find the time within 2 weeks to edit that shit and upload it as a video, then vacate the HDD space.
4K resolutions also prevent the 'compressed' bit rates on both YT and Twitch. Some use that to keep visual fidelity - I personally don't like turning off grass, as "ma'mersion".
The 506th mods are placed in the root of Arma 3 while Workshop mods are placed in the 'hidden' Workshop folder - they shouldn't conflict. Also, loading the right one will solve this (unless you load both mods).
How the fuck? HOW? I have 32GB RAM... An RTX 1060. nVIdia doesn't even care about Arma. The Control Panel maxes everything. How are you getting 60FPS in the ops???
I get 15-25 as well and I got better specs than he does and I'm only running at 1080p so color me amused. Let's make this a planned murder - we get to split the jail time.
Given the technology we have available and the prices, I recommend you go for 8 cores starting at 4Ghz (the more the merrier). Intel, no doubt. You have many options under 500$.
...and I thought my break-up experience was terrible.
I've been following the series of events. I'm really glad to hear you've come out on top! Looking forward to meeting you in TS.
