Fps issues on last nights Op

Last night was the first time I've experienced fps issues in arma they were stuck at 3.  I tried lowering setting mid game and shutting down background programs with no difference.  My specs are amd 1100t six core at 3.3 Gtx970 and 8 gigs of ram.  Like I said never had issues before and this is my first op on a new internet connection could it have been lag?

Most likely the issues were related to server fps - lots of people were reporting their fps going down as the mission went on. From talking with a few other people, I suspect it was related to the number of buildings that were destroyed over the course of the mission
