Inner Unit Transfers

So, I posted a while ago about joining, I'm not quite able to as of yet. However I do still have interest. But I am curious, I know the current recruiting status says that the 506th is recruiting for Bravo Company. I am concerned that if I was to join Alpha i would not get to be involved as much, seeing as they are the secondary unit. Can someone explain to me how two Companies would work in game? Would each Company have it's own designated Op Day? Would Alpha be more active? If I was to join Bravo Company, would I be able to transfer to Alpha Company later on? Please let me know. (Regardless I will be joining as soon as my opportunity arises)
 
The companies alternate weekends. Alpha company has operations on the 1st and 3rd saturdays/sundays while Bravo company has operations on the 2nd and 4th saturdays/sundays. The third platoons in each company go on Saturday while the first and second platoons go on Sunday.

So week 1:
Saturday: Alpha Company, 3rd Platoon
Sunday: Alpha Company, 1st and 2nd Platoon
So week 2:
Saturday: Bravo Company, 3rd Platoon
Sunday: Bravo Company, 1st and 2nd Platoon
So week 3:
Saturday: Alpha Company, 3rd Platoon
Sunday: Alpha Company, 1st and 2nd Platoon
So week 4:
Saturday: Bravo Company, 3rd Platoon
Sunday: Bravo Company, 1st and 2nd Platoon

Platoon trainings, squad trainings, fire team trainings, and the off company trainings are completely dependent on the respective company/platoon/squad/fireteam you join.

Both companies are just as active and I have not seen a transfer request denied at this point in time.
 
The only thing different about Alpha and Bravo Companies is the operation days.

Havoc 1 and Havoc 2 (Alpha Company 1st and 2nd Platoon) have their ops on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Havoc 3 (Alpha Company 3rd Platoon) has their op on the 1st and 3rd Saturday. Spartan 1 and Spartan 2 (Bravo Company 1st and 2nd Platoon) have their ops on the 2nd and 4th Sunday.

Those are the only differences between the companies and platoons. All platoons are equally active and have the same amount of trainings and operations. If you were to be displeased with your platoon or have a change in your schedule, you can transfer between platoons to a more suitable one.
 
I have a question along the same lines:

Are there (for lack of better term) "west coast squads" inside platoons? I only ask because that would increase the likelihood of being online at the same time on weekdays which could lead to more training opportunities and some squad based co-op scenarios to work on teamwork and communication. Just a thought :)

I don't know if there are "West" coast squads but within each platoon squads will generally have different times. In Havoc 1 we have all our squad trainings on Sunday and none overlap. So if you are available from 1300EST to 1900EST you can find something that works for you.

I'm in the same boat carr, I live in California and when an op starts here its about 5 and when it ends it about 7 so it's not to bad
