ER forces outside the airport

The Incirkli International Airport in Erzikistan is under siege by forces of the Erzikistan Republic. Last night, a large force, supplemented by anti-air equipment, surrounded Incirkli. This force is positioned to seize the airport, but is presently only preventing flights in and out of the country. The ER forces laying siege are estimated to be approximately a company in size, possessing many vehicles mounted with heavy weaponry. This large force shows clearly the desire to obtain this airfield for the ER, and in this reporter's opinion, their prioritization of this airfield reveals very sound tactical thought by ER military leaders.

Erzikistani helicopters on the airfield

The Incirkli International Airport has served both civilian and military needs, and thus has a large military presence in the vicinity of the airstrip. This military presence, however, has not reacted to the nearby ER company, possibly due to chronic lack of pay in the regular forces. The ER is hoping that the Erzikistan national forces cede the airport without a battle. Should the Erzikistan military walk away from Incirkli, not only would the ER have control of an international airport, but they will also absorb much of the military equipment in the area. The Incirkli airport itself has a large collection of transport and attack helicopters, as well as fighter and ground attack jets. Nearby installations have static weaponry, arms and ammunition, and ground vehicles ranging from tanks to transport trucks. Gaining this airport without a fight will be a major tactical victory for the Erzikistan Republic.

And as always, we will keep you updated with any new developments.

Sh!t is about to get real. Great article SSG, one has to wonder how much defection there has been to the ER? Are the ER in a position, personnel wise, to make immediate use of the air and ground assets stored at the airport.

I'm hoping to see a round two of this;

In a canon battle csat MI-48's owns the skies they are laser accurate and even deadly for A-10's our best bet is aim-9s.If they miss Apache doesnt have a chance
