Mods causing performance hits? [RESOLVED]

So I got all the mods downloaded yesterday and I wanted to go try out the maps Sahrani and Podagorsk and I was getting a lot of lag, even when I was just walking around by myself. I have a pretty good system, intel i7, Geforce 850, and before I downloaded all these mods I was able to run Arma 3 on high very smoothly even with a lot of assets on the map. Now Im getting lag when its just me. Any idea whats causing this? Ive lowered view distance and some of the higher settings but Im wondering if Im missing anything.

Thanks!

The one that is linked in the required mods post. I have yet to test out Altis and other maps that used to run smoothly, Ill test them after work today.

So I tested a bit more and Im getting a performance hit on even Altis and Stratis, which once worked flawlessly for me. Ive toned down view distance to 2600, anything else I can do to remove this lag? It happens mostly when Im moving around the map.

Then my only suggestion is to enable mods one by one and see when you lose performance.

When did you lose performance? What did you have down in the editor?

I installed them all at once, so I lost performance when I first loaded up the game after installation. Ive run around, driven around, flown around, and shot a couple of AT rockets at vehicles to test things out. No more than 5 AI's or no more than 2 vehicles so far in the editor. I will disable mods and see if I can narrow down the problem.

So I found the mod causing the issue: its Task Force Radio. I disabled it and everything went back to normal.

Anybody have an idea what is causing this issue? I can't seem to use TFAR without the game lagging/stuttering.

This sounds like a very odd issue - I've never heard of TFAR impacting performance before. When the game is lagging, are you in the editor or a multiplayer session? Are you on TeamSpeak when you're in-game?

Either way I recommend re-installing TFAR and checking if the issue persists after a reinstall.

For now, just in the editor. I haven't been on Teamspeak, so I wonder of that is causing the issue, it might need the plugin to run simultaneously? I've also not been able to open up the radio settings in game (control-P right?). I will try a reinstall and see if that helps.

you cant open the radio because our servers are running TFAR 0.9.7 and the new TFAR download is 0.9.7.3. Im not sure when our servers will update but for now use this link to download the old TFAR 0.9.7. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s13r6jua6c21t2n/0.9.7.zip?dl=0

i ran into this problem last night when i re downloaded TFAR. PV1 Genna provided the link on dropbox. easy fix
