Been part of the unit for about a year and a half now and I think I’m finally ready to upgrade to a PC, Problem is I don’t really know where to start because I’ve been playing on consoles my whole life. I need links to good setups to get me started. Looking for something that won’t break the bank but something I can also upgrade later so I can force myself to learn how to work on it lol.

I like amd cpus over Intel. And a MINIMUM of 16gb of ram.

Kind of an unpopular opinion among many PC gamers, but the market right now on pre-builts is pretty decent compared to trying to purchase parts for building yourself. I feel that if you want to make your own right now buying second hand from like facebook marketplace/ebay, etc will save you a lot of money if you are adamant about doing it yourself. But places like www.ibuypower.com have some really good computers for a decent price given the current prices on things like RAM and GPU's. I would consider buying a pre-built, comes with a warranty if you happen to have issues, and you will not need to do any upgrades for at least 2-3 years, honestly probably not even then. It will be like 2-2.5k upfront and then you are good for the life of the PC basically. They have PCs with 5070's and 32gb of RAM for 2k, half the time it cost nearly that much just to buy the GPU and RAM alone when building your own. The scalpers have kind of killed the build your own market unless you are willing to break the bank on buying the parts. I am using a pre-built from them with a 4080TI Super, 32Gb of RAM, and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor. I run reforger with no issues at 4k on it, and honestly run pretty much every game I play over 100fps at 4k. Also I always recommend following a YouTube tutorial when you set up graphic settings for PC games when running at 4k because some settings will tank you 20fps just to add something dumb you won't even notice.

I just made the move to PC from PS5. It's a little riskier, but I found a great deal for $2k on Facebook Marketplace.
