Running Arma

Was wondering, what type of computer do you have to have to run arma, while I am a very active gamer on consoles, I know very little about computers. Can someone fill me in?

How well do you want to be able to run it? I'm currently playing it on a toaster:

Intel i3-3110M CPU @2.40GHz
4GB RAM
Intel Integrated Graphics

Trust me, its not pretty, but you will be able to find a computer to run it for a few hundred bucks.

Arma 3 is a CPU intensive game, definitely would recommend a Intel processor.

Im running;

i7 4820k
Gigabyte GTX 980 G1
Gigabyte x79-up4
16G Adata RAM

Alright when I get my computer back in a couple days I will see if it is compatible,if not well looks like I'll be purchasing a new computer to play this game xD

Not necessarily. It may be possible to upgrade a few of the components in order to run the game, and it can be a lot cheaper than buying a new system. Like I said, if you encounter issues, post your PC specifications and one of the computer-savvy guys in the unit is sure to let you know what to upgrade.

You can also go to
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

and it will tell you if your PC handles both the required and recommended amount.

It can also tell you what areas your PC might struggle during the game. Good utility.

Would not recommend. That website states that I cannot possibly run Arma 3, War Thunder, Wargame AB, Oblivion, Morrowind, Rome Total War and so many other games that I have and play every day.

I just recently made my PC, Here are some tips
* you dont need a intel core-i7, games havent caught up to that fast of a proccessor.
* Get a NVIDIA graphics card they may be expensive but their top of the line and can run arma as if it was nothing.
* Check your motherboard and the amoount of SATA ports you think you will need.
* try researching these terms RAM, SATA, DDR, GDDR
